I know it{s cliche to say that missions are like rollercoasters, but enserio! One minute nobody is talking to us and constantly giving us dirty looks and the next minute one of our investigators decides that they want to be baptized! Its like a storm next to a rainbow. No matter what happens, theres always going to be something good after. If we didnt have those bad moments why would those triumphs and good days be worth much? We need the comparison. We need darkness and we need light. We need black and we need white. Just like we need to sometimes experience moments where we feel like we just can{t go on, where we feel like there is nothing else to do but give up. Perhaps in these moments the most important thing to do is, REMEMBER HIM. Jesus Christ didn{t come to this earth to ride a pony and eat a lollipop. No. He had a goal. He had a mission. He had a purpose to come to this Earth and suffer for each and every one of us.
It wasn{t meant to be easy for Him, so why should it be any easier for us? We sometimes feel like we deserve better in life, but so did He. We sometimes feel like God isn{t treating us fairly, or others have more that we want. How do you think He felt in the Gethsemene when he was suffering more than any man has suffered, and His Heavenly Father did not remove the cup from Him? He knew it had to be done. He knew that this terrible, miserable, heartbreaking ocassion had to pass so that we, His brothers and sisters, could be clean again. And return to live with our Heavenly Father for eternity.
I know that this gospel is true. With no doubt in my mind. I know that this is the Gospel of Jesus Christ restored to the Earth through Joseph Smith. I know that through the Atonement, we can do all things possible. Heavenly Father loves us so much. And we need to show our love for Him.

Con mucho amor,
Hermana Waddell
